AVIRON SPRAYABLE RUBBER

Ref : PP 306 DR – PP 306 DR A (artic)

Spray-On Waterproofing

one-component cationic emulsion

AVIRON Sprayable rubber is a spray-application high viscosity bitumen and highly elastic polymer, solvent-free

Property profile:

AVIRON Sprayable rubber is a bitumen rubber coating based on a cationic emulsion

AVIRON Sprayable rubber is a highly-safe waterproofing material with excellent product properties.

AVIRON Sprayable rubber is an environment- friendly, solvent-free waterproofing material with highly crack-bridging properties and water-proof within a very short period of time.

AVIRON Sprayable rubber creates after drying a high elastic top layer with optimal adhesion to bituminous surfaces

TEMPERATURES BELOW - 30 °

Use (PP 306 DR A) min 3 mm thickness and apply Fiberglas reinforcement sheet between layers

Range of use:

Recoverable and preventive maintenance of disintegrated roofs. Application is possible on flat and sloped roofs.

AVIRON Sprayable rubber is used on modern modified roofing felt. Because AVIRON Sprayable rubber is free of solvents there will be no softening of the subbase.

Also available for areas with winter temperatures below -30 C° ( PP 306A)

Substrate:

The surface to be treated must be free of dust, oil and grease.

Cut blisters and repair with fibreglass sheeting

Working directions:

AVIRON Sprayable rubber   must be applied by specially trained operatives who apply Sprayable rubber  evenly in the desired thickness

Do not apply AVIRON Sprayable rubber at temperatures below + 5 °C or during strong wind or rain. immediately after application slate chippings will be strewn in the wetproduct or use special sealing sand projected in the surface with the special application machine. After totally drying the excess slate chippings or sealing sand can  be removed.

It adheres to practically all subsur-faces used in construction, such as roofing sheet, cellular and standard concrete, plaster, masonry and even timber. Once fully dry, the elasticity of the product means that any hairline cracks occurring in the subsurface are permanently bridged and sealed.

APPLICATION

The use of AVIRON Sprayable rubber  as a waterproofing measure is only possible in combination with a special modified air-less spraying machine.

renovation of old roofing

Little or no defects in the old covering:

the surface should be free of dirt and other loose particles.  blisters and folds should be cut out and repaired with roofing felt or AVIRON SPRAYABLE RUBBER   with an open fibre felt.  prime with a brush

joints and cracks must be treated with roofing felt or polyester bedded in AVIRON Sprayable rubber   .

depending on the quality of the existing covering 1 or 2 layers of AVIRON Sprayable rubber is applied approx 1 ,25 kg/m2 per layer.

finish off with special Sealing sand or slate chippings

Aged roofing but little or no defects:

Pre-treatment and finishing as mentioned above, only an open tissue or felt is embedded in the first layer Of AVIRON SPRAYABLE RUBBER   . After drying, a second layer of AVIRON Sprayable rubber is applied in a thickness of approx 2-2.5 kglm2.

Roofing with many defects:

After cleaning and repairing a layer of perforated bituminous open fibre felt is loosely laid. Next a layer of AVIRON Sprayable rubber [1 ,25 kglm2] is applied with open tissue or felt directly in the AVIRON Sprayable rubber.

After curing a second layer of AVIRON Sprayable rubber is applied. Then finish off.

Of course there is also the possibility of repairing and adhering according to the slinger method with cold adhesive and/or bitumina of roofing felt, before applying AVIRON Sprayable rubber.

Finishing

Flat roots:               Always finish with special sealing sand or slate chippings.

Sloping roofs:          On sloping roofs a finishing layer is recommended as well: A choice can be made from special sealing sand or AVIRON DR with slate chippings

waterproofing  of balconies and  Terraces

Small surfaces and low water load : one layer with a thickness and 1.5 -1.8 kg/m2. To make the surface  trafficable sand in wit coarse sand.

Then tiles of concrete can be laid on top of this.

Waste water pipes

When the surface is hand dry apply 3 layers and wait approx 8 Hr between layers

Making sure the product does not drip ( it is better to use multiple thin layers than one thick )

Waste water reservoirs

Round of all corner to prevent cracking, with repair cement

Spray 3 layer of min 1 Kg/M²

Allow drying between layers of approx 8 Hr

Hotwater reservoirs ( above 50 °C )

Use PP 306DR A only

Waterproofing showers and bathrooms

Masonry joints must be full and well bound. After cleaning, making dust free and priming.

AVIRON SPRAYABLE RUBBER   is dressed with dry  sand to facilitate tiling.

use:

on vertical surfaces 2 layers of 1.0 kg/m2

on horizontal surfaces 2 layers of 1.5 kg/m2

In dusty rooms use of a bituminous primer AVIRON- DR is advised before applying AVIRON Sprayable rubber.

Sealing floors from earth gas penetration ( underground gas penetration )

Heat the PP306 DR to 140 °C  and poor in the floor

Apply evenly and allow to cool down using approx 3 Kg/M²

Cover with concrete with a min thickness of 4 Cm

waterproofing cellar walls, foundations

against moisture pulling up: 2 layers of 1.0 kg/m2 each.

against ground water: 2 layers of 1.5 kg/m2 with tissue. etc. then cover with earth.

Tools and cleaning:

Special modified air-less  spraying machine, paint brush, brush, roller.

In fresh condition the tools may be cleaned first with water and clean thoroughly with gasoil. ( Diesel)

Hardened material can be removed with V 100.( Thinner)

Packaging, application rate and storing:

Packaging:

1000Kgl storage containers, 210 Kg drums, pails of 10 Kg and  30 l. drums, fuelling vehicle

Application rate:

Protective coating:   approx. 1,00 - 1,50 kg/m² per coating

Waterproofing:

2.5 kg/M²                aprox   1,5 mm dry layer
