renovation of Little
or no defects in the old covering:
old roofing a.
the surface should be free of dirt and other loose particles.
b. blisters and folds
should be cut out and repaired with roofing felt or AVIRON-PP 301 EP with an
open fibre felt.
c. prime with a
bituminous Primer.
d. joints and cracks
must be treated with roofing felt or polyester bedded in AVIRON-PP 301 EP .
e. depending on the
quality of the existing covering 1 or 2 layers of AVIRON-PP 301 EP is applied
[use approx 1 ,25 kg/m2 per layer].
f. finish off with
slate chippings
Aged roofing but
little or no defects:
Pre-treatment and finishing as mentioned above, only
an open tissue or felt is embedded in the first layer of
AVIRON-PP 301. After drying a second layer of AVIRON-PP 301
EP is applied in a thickness of approx
1 ,25 kglm2.
Roofing with many
defects:
After cleaning and repairing a layer of perforated
bituminous open fibre felt is loosely laid. Next a layer of
AVIRON-PP 301 EP [1 ,25
kglm2] is applied with open tissue or felt directly in the AVIRON-PP 301 EP.
After curing a second layer of AVIRON-PP 301 EP is
applied. Then finish off.
Of
course there is also the possibility of repairing and adhering according to the
slinger method with cold adhesive and/or bitumina of roofing felt, before applying AVIRON-PP 301 EP .
Finishing Flat roots:
Always finish with slate chippings. After drying of
the last layer of AVIRON PP 301 EP the roof is finished with
cold adhesive [ AVIRON- PP 306 DR], use approx 0.4-0.5
kglm2, then dressed directly with slate chippings,
Sloping roofs:
On sloping roofs a finishing layer is recommended as
well: A choice can be made from AVIRON-PP 306 DR with slate chippings as I mentioned
,previously, or AVIRON- PP 306 DR, a coat which can be applied simply by ro1ler
or airless spraying equipment in a thickness of' min. 300 glm2. [ROLL
twice, one roll coat is approx
waterproofing Small
surfaces and low water load : one layer with a thickness and 1.5 -1.8 kg/m2. To
make the surface trafficable the last
of balconies layer of AVIRON-PP 301 EP can be covered
with preferably two loose laying
terraces layers of the
AVIRON-PP 301 EP. Then tiles of concrete can be laid on top of this.
Waterproofing Masonry joints must be full and well bound.
After cleaning, making dust free and priming.
showers and bathrooms AVIRON-PP 301 EP is dressed with dry sand to facilitate tiling.
use: on vertical
surfaces 2 layers of 1.0 kg/m2
on horizontal
surfaces 2 layers of 1.5 kg/m2
In dusty rooms use of a bituminous primer [AVIRON-PP
306 DR] is advised before applying
AVIRON-PP 301 EP .
